Jericho fans pooled together online to send over 40,000 pounds of peanuts to CBS network president Nina Tassler as a tactic to persuade her to renew the drama series for 2007-08.
Tassler admited that it worked, and is urging the enthusiastic fans to continue their support. CBS will donate the peanuts to various charities. On the Nuts for Jericho website, fans are also donating funds to support tornado victims in Kansas, where the series is set. - via Cynthia Turner's Cynopsis
